Fox Control in North Lincolnshire
Free fox control for farms, shoots, and smallholdings across North Lincolnshire, from the Humber bank around Barton and Winteringham to the Isle of Axholme and the farmland around Brigg. Control is targeted, carried out by rifle using thermal and night vision, and starts by confirming a fox is the real cause.

Open farmland with little cover
Across the Isle of Axholme and the land around Scunthorpe and Brigg, there's little woodland, so foxes lie up in the few plantations, dykes, and field boundaries that offer cover. That concentrates their movements onto predictable routes, which suits stalking with thermal and calling at the edges of cover.
Poultry units and lambing flocks
Poultry units, smallholdings, and lambing flocks across the area all deal with foxes using those same dykes and plantations. Losses tend to come in runs: a fox finds a weakness and returns until it's dealt with or the weakness is fixed, so a quick response matters more than a big one.
Waders on the Humber bank
The Humber estuary and its margins are important ground for waders, and stewardship land along the bank often has ground-nesting birds to protect in spring. Control on this kind of land is timed to the nesting season and kept to what the birds actually need.
How it works
Free, targeted, and done safely
Confirming it's a fox
Mink, badgers, dogs, and scavenging after a death from other causes can all look like a fox. The evidence is checked first, and if it isn't a fox, you'll be told so.
Thermal, night vision, and the rifle
Foxes are controlled by rifle, by a certificate-holding professional, using thermal and night vision to identify each animal and check what's beyond it. Depending on the ground, that means stalking, calling, or a bait station.
Timed to when losses happen
Lambing, release pens, and the nesting season each have their own window. Our fox calendar shows what foxes are doing month by month.
No charge, ever
There's no callout fee and nothing to pay at the end. The aim is to stop the losses, not to clear every fox from the area. See the full fox control service.
