Fox Control in Teesside
Free fox control for farms, smallholdings, and shoots around Teesside, from the Cleveland Hills above Guisborough and Loftus to the farmland around Yarm, Wynyard, and Elwick. With towns close by, control is carried out by rifle with thermal and night vision only where it can be done safely.

Lambing on the Cleveland Hills
Flocks lambing on the farms below the Cleveland Hills, around Guisborough, Skelton, and Loftus, are exposed to foxes coming down off the wooded escarpment. Control is planned around lambing dates and the routes foxes use between the woods and the fields.
Smallholdings on the edge of town
Around Yarm, Kirklevington, Wynyard, and Elwick, smallholdings and backyard poultry sit close to new housing, roads, and busy footpaths. Every shot needs a safe backstop and a clear view of what's beyond it, which thermal makes possible, and where control can't be done safely, better housing and fencing are the answer instead.
Coast and estuary birds
The Tees estuary and the coast around Redcar and Hartlepool are important ground for waders and seabirds, and spring fox pressure matters on nearby farmland and nature sites. Control on this kind of land is timed to the breeding season and kept to what the birds need.
How it works
Free, targeted, and done safely
Confirming it's a fox
Mink, badgers, dogs, and scavenging after a death from other causes can all look like a fox. The evidence is checked first, and if it isn't a fox, you'll be told so.
Thermal, night vision, and the rifle
Foxes are controlled by rifle, by a certificate-holding professional, using thermal and night vision to identify each animal and check what's beyond it. Depending on the ground, that means stalking, calling, or a bait station.
Timed to when losses happen
Lambing, release pens, and the nesting season each have their own window. Our fox calendar shows what foxes are doing month by month.
No charge, ever
There's no callout fee and nothing to pay at the end. The aim is to stop the losses, not to clear every fox from the area. See the full fox control service.
